Common washer problems
Choose the problem closest to yours to start a request with it. You don’t need a diagnosis to book; the causes below are common possibilities that a technician confirms on site.
Washer Not Draining
A washer may fail to drain because of a clogged pump filter, a kinked or blocked drain hose, or a drain pump that has failed. A technician can identify the cause and recommend the right repair.

If no water comes in, check that both supply valves behind the washer are open. Beyond that, the cause is often a clogged inlet screen, a faulty water inlet valve, or a lid or door lock the washer doesn’t detect as closed.

A washer that won’t spin may have an unbalanced load, a lid switch or door lock fault, a worn drive belt or coupler, or a drain problem that leaves too much water in the tub.

Heavy shaking is often an unbalanced load or a washer that isn’t level. If it continues with balanced loads, worn suspension rods, shock absorbers or tub bearings may be the cause.

Washer repair questions
Should I repair or replace my washer?
Many washer problems, such as pumps, belts and door locks, are repairable. For major failures in an older washer, replacement can make more sense. Your technician gives you an estimate first, so the decision is yours.
Can I use the washer before the technician arrives?
If it’s leaking or won’t drain, it’s best not to run it. Turn off the water supply if there’s a leak, and leave the washer as it is so the technician can see the problem.
How much does a service call cost?
Our $99 service call covers the technician’s visit and diagnosis. If you approve the repair, the full $99 is applied toward it, and your repair quote already includes that credit. Nothing is repaired until you authorize it.
What if I decide not to repair the appliance?
The $99 service call covers the visit and diagnosis and remains payable if you decide not to repair. No repair work begins without your authorization.
What brands do you repair?
Tell us your appliance brand and model when you book, and we’ll confirm whether we can service it before the visit.
How long is the appointment window?
Appointments have a 2-hour arrival window.
